Welcome to Essential Ponderings

April 11, 2017

Welcome Spring and to new growth and regeneration!

Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amydalus dulcis) is very rich in Vitamin E, one of the most powerful antioxidants that helps to protect our skin against environmental pollutants.

The almond tree is native to the Middle East and Mediterranean countries and the light oil extracted from the almond kernels was used in skin preparations by the early Romans.

It has excellent emollient properties and is beneficial to all skin types.  It can be used as a carrier oil when formulating aromatic blends for massage and for dry chapped skin.
